This policy sets the rules for profile photos and profile content. It is read together with the Community Guidelines, Terms of Service (§8, §18–19), the Content Moderation Policy, and the Privacy Policy. Independent legal review recommended before public launch.
1. Your profile
Your profile is how other adults decide whether to meet you. It may include a display name, age, a short bio, interests, cuisine and dietary preferences, dating intent, conversation topics, optional dating- profile details, social links, and one or more photos. Everything on your profile must be truthful, your own, and yours to share.
2. Photo rules
Photos must:
- be of you, recent, and clearly show your face on your primary photo;
- be yours to upload, or be content you have the right and permission to use.
Photos must not contain:
- nudity, sexually explicit content, or content that sexualises anyone;
- any minor, in any context (see the Child Safety & CSAM Policy — zero tolerance);
- other identifiable people who have not consented to appear;
- another person’s photos, or images used to impersonate or catfish;
- AI-generated or heavily manipulated images used to deceive about your appearance or identity;
- contact details, handles, QR codes, or off-platform solicitation;
- hate symbols, violence, weapons used threateningly, illegal goods, or copyrighted/watermarked images you
don’t have rights to;
- personal data of others, or anything unlawful.
3. Profile text and fields
The same standards apply to your bio and every profile field. No harassment, hate, sexual solicitation, contact-details-for-off-platform-contact, advertising, or false claims about who you are. Don’t put other people’s private information in your profile.
4. Verification
Dinner Date does not currently perform photo/identity verification or liveness checks; a verified badge, if introduced later, will be described here and in the Privacy Policy before launch. Because profiles are not identity-verified, assume a profile can be inaccurate and follow the Safety Guidelines. Do not treat the absence of a report as proof a profile is genuine.
5. Visibility and control
You control how your profile is shown:
- Visibility mode — always public, public only while you have an active date, public until a set time,
or private — plus per-section toggles for what parts of your profile are shown.
- When your profile is shown to people you haven’t matched with, it may be redacted (for example,
showing only your first initial, age, and city) to protect your privacy until you choose to reveal more.
- Discoverability and contact requests can be turned off in Settings.

6. Rights in your content
You keep ownership of your photos and profile content. By posting them, you grant Dinner Date the limited licence described in the Terms of Service (§21) to host and display them so the Services can function. You are responsible for what you upload, and you confirm you have the rights and consents needed. See the Intellectual Property Policy and Copyright / DMCA Policy.
7. Moderation and enforcement
Photos and profile content that break these rules may be removed or required to be changed, and repeated or serious violations can lead to suspension or a ban under the Reporting & Enforcement Policy. Child-safety violations are actioned immediately and reported to authorities.
8. Changes
We may update this policy, including if we add verification or new profile features.
