These Terms apply to restaurants, cafés, and other venues that create a Partner (vendor) account and list on Dinner Date. They are separate from the consumer Terms of Service and apply in addition to them where relevant. Most venue information on Dinner Date is sourced from public map data and does not involve any partner relationship; a Partner account is an optional, separate onboarding. Independent legal review recommended before public launch, and a full B2B partner agreement should replace/supplement this before onboarding paying partners.
1. Two different things: map venues vs. Partner venues
- Map venues. Dinner Date discovers and displays venues from public map data (OpenStreetMap). A venue
appearing in the app does not mean it is a Dinner Date partner, has any relationship with us, or has agreed to anything. We facilitate people choosing to meet there; we don’t book on the venue’s behalf.
- Partner venues. A business may create a Partner account to manage its own listing and menu. That
is what these Terms govern.
If you operate a venue and want your public listing corrected or removed, contact support@pipchat.in.
2. Partner accounts are separate
- Partner access uses a separate vendor account and login (OTP-based), distinct from consumer accounts.
Partner tools are reached through the dedicated partner entry point, not from inside the consumer app, and consumer logins cannot access partner functions (and vice versa).
- You must be authorised to act for the business you register, and provide accurate business
information.
3. Onboarding, verification, and review
To become a Partner venue you must submit, and we will review by hand, information that may include:
- a business registration / licence identifier;
- proof of ownership or authority to represent the venue;
- a declaration that the information is true and that you accept these Terms.
We may approve, reject, or request more information. We create a Partner venue only after approval. We may decline or revoke Partner status at our discretion, including for inaccurate information, policy violations, or safety concerns. After approval, identity/ownership details are locked (changes require a new review), while menu content can be updated through the menu tools.
4. Listings, menus, and accuracy
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and menu (items, prices, availability, hours,
and any dietary/allergen information). Keep it current.
- Only supported venue/activity categories may be used; unsupported categories are rejected until we
support them.
- Content you upload (menu text, item photos) must be yours to use and must comply with the Community
Guidelines and Photo & Profile standards (no illegal, infringing, deceptive, or unsafe content). You grant Dinner Date a licence to host and display it to operate the Services (see the Intellectual Property Policy).
5. Legal and food-safety compliance
You must comply with all laws applicable to your business, including licensing, food-safety and hygiene requirements (for example, FSSAI registration/licensing in India), consumer-protection, pricing, tax, accessibility, and anti-discrimination laws. You must serve Dinner Date users on the same lawful, non-discriminatory basis as other members of the public.
6. No agency, no booking guarantee
Dinner Date is a technology platform that helps people choose where to meet. Unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement:
- we are not your agent, franchisor, partner, or employer, and do not take reservations or payment on
your behalf;
- we do not guarantee any bookings, footfall, attendance, or revenue;
- users’ payments for food and drink are between the user and the venue; Dinner Date’s in-app bonds and
credits are unrelated to your bill and are not payments to you.
7. Users at your venue
Meetings arranged via Dinner Date happen at your public premises like any other customers’. You remain responsible for your premises, staff, and service. Dinner Date does not supervise meetings and is not responsible for interactions between users or between users and your staff, except as required by law.
8. Liability and indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, each party is responsible for its own acts and omissions. You agree to indemnify Dinner Date against claims arising from your listing content, your legal non-compliance, or your operation of the venue. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove a Partner listing or account for policy or legal violations, inaccurate information, or safety concerns, and you may stop participating at any time by contacting us. Removal of a Partner listing does not necessarily remove the underlying public map venue.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes affecting active Partners will be notified where required.
