This disclosure explains where Dinner Date uses automated systems and “AI”, and — just as importantly — where it does not. It is deliberately conservative and describes current, actual behaviour. It is read together with the Privacy Policy (§7.9) and the Content Moderation Policy. Independent legal review recommended before public launch.

1. Summary

Dinner Date is not an “AI product”. It uses ordinary, mostly rule-based automation to run the service. It does not use generative AI to write your messages or profile, does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement, and does not sell your data to train third-party AI models.

2. Where we use automation today

  • Matching and compatibility — organising and filtering posts and profiles using rule-based logic

(for example, a fixed compatibility matrix of date intents, distance, and preferences). This is not opaque machine-learning profiling.

  • Discovery and ranking — sorting nearby dates/venues by simple, explainable factors such as distance

and recency.

  • Venue data processing — venue information is sourced from public map data (OpenStreetMap) and

normalised/scored by deterministic rules (e.g. whether hours are known, whether the venue is open at the date time). This gates whether a date can be posted; it is algorithmic, not AI judgement.

  • Abuse prevention — rate limits, input validation, one-account and duplicate/abuse heuristics, and

fraud signals that slow or block automated misuse.

3. Where we do NOT use AI

  • We do not use generative AI/LLMs to create or alter your profile, photos, or messages.
  • We do not run automated content-understanding AI (e.g. NSFW image classification or automated text

classification) on user content at scale. Moderation is report-driven and human-reviewed (see the Content Moderation Policy). (If such detection is added later — for example CSAI/CSAM hash-matching — this disclosure and the Child Safety & CSAM Policy will be updated first.)

  • We do not use AI to make final enforcement decisions. Suspensions and bans are decided by a person.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties to train their AI models.

4. Human oversight

Significant trust-and-safety decisions (suspensions, bans, appeals) involve human review. Automated controls (like rate limits) are preventive guardrails, applied uniformly, and are not adverse decisions about you. Where Applicable Law gives you rights regarding automated decision-making or profiling, we will honour them; contact support@pipchat.in.

5. Your responsibilities

If you use your own AI tools to create profile content or images, you remain fully responsible for that content and must comply with the Community Guidelines and Photo & Profile Policy — in particular, you must not use AI-generated or manipulated images to deceive about your appearance or identity, and AI- generated sexual content depicting minors is treated as CSAM.

6. Changes

If we introduce new AI or automated-decision features, we will update this disclosure (and the Privacy Policy) before those features process your data, and provide any notice or choices required by law.
