This policy sets out who may use Dinner Date. It is read together with the Terms of Service (§5), the Child Safety & CSAM Policy, and the Privacy Policy. Independent legal review recommended before public launch.

1. Minimum age: 18+

Dinner Date is for adults aged 18 or older. You must be at least 18 to create an account or use the Services. Where the age of majority in your jurisdiction is higher than 18, you must meet that higher age. Dinner Date is not directed to, or intended for, anyone under 18.

2. How age is enforced

  • Your date of birth is collected during onboarding.
  • Age is computed and enforced on the server — an account that does not meet the minimum age is

blocked from being created or from using age-gated features. This is a hard gate, not an honour system.

  • We may take additional steps to detect, suspend, or remove accounts that we believe belong to minors or

that misrepresent age, and to prevent banned users from returning.

We do not currently require government-ID or biometric age verification. If we introduce stronger age- assurance for a market or feature, we will update this policy and the Privacy Policy first.

3. Honesty about your age

Providing a false date of birth, or helping anyone under 18 access Dinner Date, is a serious violation of the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines and will result in removal. Misrepresenting age in a way that facilitates contact with a minor is treated under the Child Safety & CSAM Policy (zero tolerance, reported to authorities).

4. Other eligibility requirements

To use Dinner Date you must also:

  • be legally permitted to use the Services and to meet people for social/dating purposes under the laws of

your location;

  • not be a person barred under Applicable Law (for example, subject to a relevant court order, or listed

on an applicable sanctions or sex-offender register where that bars use of such a service);

  • not have been previously banned from Dinner Date;
  • maintain one account per person and provide accurate registration information;
  • accept the Terms of Service and acknowledge the safety materials required before posting or applying.

Business/venue partners use a separate vendor account and flow, subject to the Restaurant / Venue Partner Terms, and must meet their own eligibility and verification requirements.

5. Reporting an underage or ineligible user

If you believe someone on Dinner Date is under 18 or otherwise ineligible, report it immediately via in-app Report or email support@pipchat.in (mark child-safety concerns “CHILD SAFETY”). We treat underage-user reports as high priority.

6. Consequences and data

An account found to be underage or ineligible is suspended or removed. We handle any associated data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy, except where we must preserve information for a legal obligation or a child-safety investigation.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as our age-assurance measures and legal obligations evolve.
